The intervention came into existence in July 2015 with the rolling out of the first direct implementation program to improve the learning levels of students belonging to classes I to VIII, in order to achieve grade appropriate competencies in English, Mathematics and Science, and increase the number of students passing Madhyamik examination in Tripura. Since then the program has expanded to Assam where the organization is working on reducing the dropout rate in elementary schools and bridging the digital divide to foster digital citizenship, increase interest in learning, improve learning and higher order thinking skills, and improve teaching and learning processes in school.

ASI EDUCATION – REDUCE AND PREVENT DROP OUT

  • PROJECT RATIONALE – To reduce and prevent drop out at the elementary level by bringing the children who have dropped out, back to school and prevent further dropouts by providing remedial support to poor performing children and working with parents at the community level.
