LINKAGES AND EMERGING OPPORTUNITIES

This is another important vertical working under the bigger purview of CML’s sector support program. Linkage and collaboration has got the mandate to facilitate network creation, linkage, multi party collaboration etc. including facilitation and collaborative implementation of Government Projects. At the same time this vertical also extends support to industry bodies, external NGOs in expanding the reach of their program to Northeast.

Linkage and Collaboration team has been instrumental in facilitating the process of setting up Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission (ASRLM), working in close collaboration with NRLM. Linkage has been established with ASRLM and SIRD (State Institute of Rural Development), whereby CML is functioning as resource centre for these institutes in terms of giving livelihood related training. CML also facilitated the process of forming a consortium named as Northeast Development Consortium (NDC) with four of its partners and currently implementing a project called Mahila Krisak Sashaktikaran Pariyojana (MKSP) mooted by MoRD. MKSP, which is the first of its kind large scale multiparty implementation program, has the mandate to cover 14000 women across 14 blocks spread over 7 districts in Assam.

Linkage and Collaboration vertical is also facilitating the NRLM initiatives for CML’s partners in Nagaland. At the same time this vertical is also in the process of exploring collaborative initiative with stakeholders like NABARD, Sa-Dhan, IIE, CII, Planning Commission etc.
